Elizabeth Riffel

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I am the National Sorority Account Manager for Greek House Chefs. Prior to starting my position with Greek House Chefs in August of 2016 I spent my career in the hospitality management and sales industry. I was able to work with Nate, the Manhattan regional manager and Research and Development Director previously to coming on board with the GHC team and saw first-hand how hard working, communicative, and fun this company and team was and knew I wanted to be a part of it!  Prior to starting my career, I studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at Kansas State University (KSU).  While at KSU I joined and was active in my sorority, Delta Delta Delta. One of my favorite parts about working with Greek House Chefs is meeting and visiting Tri-Delta houses and members/alum all over the nation!

When I am not working I am spending my time at home with my husband and adorable 2-year- old son. We are typically home bodies but when we get the chance we love to travel- visiting Italy and London this past September was definitely one for the books! Although not a professionally trained chef, I have loved cooking from an early age. I would watch the food network (instead of nickelodeon) and learned so much about real food, fresh ingredients, and how making food taste great can be effortless when cooking from scratch. My younger sister and I would film our own cooking shows with our parents huge VHS recorder and have an absolute ball.  Our oh-so-informative cooking segments usually consisted of rice Krispy treats and homemade chex mix. I am happy to report that my culinary expertise has improved since then.

My favorite things to cook for my family are traditional foods with a healthy twist, spaghetti squash lasagna boats, Mexican chicken taco bowls with all the fixings, and fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies each morning.
