Elizabeth Riffel is a dedicated member of the Greek House Chefs family, and committed to enhancing the Greek life experience across the country. She is our National Sorority Account Manager, but also has her fair share of fraternities that she works with as well. Prior to starting her position with Greek House Chefs in August of 2016 she spent her career in the hospitality management and sales industry. Elizabeth was formerly a representative for one of our vendors, before she discovered the work-life balance and family atmosphere that brought her in to Greek House Chefs.
Before starting her career, Elizabeth studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at Kansas State University. While at KSU she was an active member in her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. One of her favorite parts about working with Greek House Chefs is meeting and visiting Tri-Delta houses and members/alum all over the nation!
When she is not traveling to chapters across the country, she spends her time at home with her husband and 2 adorable children. When we say adorable, we mean they could not possibly be any cuter!
Although not a professionally trained chef, Elizabeth has loved cooking from an early age. She would watch the Food Network (instead of Nickelodeon) and learned so much about real food, fresh ingredients, and how making food taste great can be almost effortless when cooking from scratch.
When she was little, she and her younger sister would film their own cooking shows with their parents’ huge VHS recorder and have an absolute ball. Their oh-so-informative cooking segments usually consisted of Rice Krispy Treats and homemade Chex Mix. We are happy to report that her culinary expertise has improved since then and she has even helped out in a few of our Chapters when a chef was ill.
Her favorite things to cook for her family are traditional foods with a healthy twist, spaghetti squash lasagna boats, Mexican chicken taco bowls with all the fixings, and fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies each morning.
Say ‘hi’ to Elizabeth next time you see her on your campus. She’s always ready to sit down and chat Greek life foodservice.
