In order to bring ‘em home, that means we as a company have to evolve and continue to keep things fresh, new, and enticing for students. Here are 4 ways our Blue Coat Chefs are keeping Greek Life thriving.

1. We’re kicking fast food delivery to the curb. We know the late night food delivery and occasional pizza is going to happen, after all, it’s part of the college experience. But Greek House Chefs is putting its best foot forward to ensure that our students don’t need fast food delivery for lunch or dinner. Our Blue Coat Chefs are always developing new ways to deliver delicious healthy dishes, snacks, and Late Plates to keep our students eating at the Chapter House. Keeping up with food trends, and throwing in the occasional Fast Food Friday for a little indulgence is what keeps students coming back for more. 

2. We are putting our foot down that cheaper isn’t always cheaper. Picture this: you’re making a decision on a food service company and you have two bids. One is upwards of $20,000 cheaper than the other. The cheaper company tells you “look at the contract, we’re way more value priced. Of course we can provide the same service!” Now think about it for a second, how are they providing the same healthy food, client experience, liability insurance, and chef benefits that you get with the more expensive company. We see it time and time again, clients choose that cheaper option because they promise the moon and stars, but without fail, a few months into the contract these chapters are faced with unreliable chefs, unsatisfied students, and even health and safety infractions that end up causing the chapter house thousands more dollars. Not with GHC. We put our best foot forward, and we are transparent about the price. 3. Our Chefs are keeping up with changing needs and tastes. We get it, your house has many food allergies and specific diets to accommodate. Greek House Chefs is always thinking, testing, and teaching various ways to prepare and present food to meet the needs of many tastes. One way we help accommodate those needs is by doing ‘Build Your Own Bars’ so students can choose from a wide variety of ingredients to meet their needs. Whether is BYO Burrito Bowl, BYO Ramen, or BYO Pasta, there are options to meet the needs of everyone, keeping students coming home for dinner rather than getting fast food to accommodate their diet. 

4. Finally, we make it a point to put the students first. It’s unfortunate, but many companies will say just about anything to win a foodservice contract. It isn’t until later that you find out their promises were empty. Food quality is lacking, there are no options or customization, they only cover a few basic food allergies, or their menus are the same every month, we’ve heard it all. With GHC, we put our students first, and we welcome feedback and utilize it to train our staff if there is something we could be doing better. Not only does each chapter have the contact info for their Regional, Area, or Campus Manager at any point, but we answer the phone, we text back, we stop what we’re doing and we reply to your email.
