Red Flags Inside Cheap Bids

Sure, other companies might tell you they can do it for a cheaper price. But ask yourself how are they that much cheaper? How much does a revolving door of Chefs actually cost your chapter house?

Our contracts may not always be the cheapest, but 9 times out of 10, when we see chapters choose the cheapest contract based solely on price, chapters are exploring other options within a year. We truly believe that you get what you pay for. And with Greek House Chefs, you’re paying for stability, fresh food made from healthy ingredients, support when you need it, fair and transparent contract terms.

Sure, other companies might tell you they can do it for a cheaper price. But ask yourself how are they that much cheaper? How much does a revolving door of Chefs actually cost your chapter house?

What are they cutting out to make it cheaper? Chef salaries and food budgets, that’s what.

Is the contract just vague enough so services you would assume would be included in the price are actually an additional price? Check the details.

How is the quality of the food and the ingredients they are using? We often see a lot of starches, and easy food at these Chapters.

Will there be a chef to cover if your chef is sick?  Some say it, we do it. We will be there, it’s our promise to you.

Are they just showing you a cheaper price to win the bid, knowing full well that isn’t enough to feed your students much more than chicken tenders and Mac and cheese on repeat? More than likely.

At Greek House Chefs, we know that cheaper is not better. With Fraternity and Sorority foodservice, management is key. Meal plans should be robust and full of variety. Your Chefs should be compensated well with an excellent benefit package and paid holiday breaks. If the price seems to0 good to be true, that should be your first of many red flags. Ask us how to help your chapter compare “apples” to “apples”.  You’ll be glad you did!
